During the Fenua Durable Awards ceremony, A Ti’a Matairea received two major distinctions recognizing its commitment to environmental protection and the preservation of Huahine’s ecosystems.

The organization was honored in the Biodiversity category for its concrete field actions, including the responsible anchoring project designed to protect marine habitats and sensitive lagoon areas.

A Ti’a Matairea also received a special award from IFRECOR French Polynesia, acknowledging its work in coral reef protection, environmental education, and community involvement, especially with young people, in the preservation of the marine environment.

These awards come with financial support from the DIREN, helping to continue field actions, strengthen educational programs, and develop innovative initiatives for biodiversity conservation.

This recognition highlights the importance of collective work carried out with local residents, schools, fishermen, and partners to build a more sustainable future for Huahine.
